NDIS and Medical Transport in Olinda

Yarra Valley Taxis is a registered NDIS transport provider. Olinda participants with plan-managed or self-managed NDIS funding can arrange individual trips or recurring scheduled transport for therapy, specialist appointments, and community access. We accept TAC-funded rehabilitation travel and WorkSafe-covered medical journeys. Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully is the nearest major facility, and we can set up a consistent schedule for regular treatment visits.

Why Olinda Depends on Taxis

Olinda has no public transport connection to the metropolitan network, making private vehicles and taxis the only practical options for most travel. Visitors to the National Rhododendron Garden, William Ricketts Sanctuary, and the antique shops along the main street frequently need a pickup and return car after a full day. Local trips between Olinda, Sassafras, Kallista, and Kalorama are common bookings for residents without cars. For airport runs, we route through Ferntree Gully to access EastLink, making Olinda to Tullamarine about 60 to 70 minutes in normal conditions.
